Pat has more than 20 years experience in the development and management of research projects at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, The University of Maryland School of Medicine, an International Clinical Research Organization, and in her own clinical trials management company. She has a Masters Degree in Adulthood and Aging Studies, is a registered nurse and retired nursing home administrator. She has completed a certificate in Faith studies at the Ecumenical Institute (EI) of Saint Mary’s Seminary and University. After retirement in 2010, Pat continued this culturally aware care through her work with immigrant families through the Immigration Outreach Service Center (IOSC). As the Director, Pat has served as an advocate for refugees, political asylum seekers, and immigrants. She has led the IOSC in the development of new programs and the community organizing of the local immigrant community to build power in order to take action on important issues that affect immigrants in the Baltimore area and the region.
